People love their MacBooks but with everything Apple you’re kinda stumped if they don’t include some bit of tech interconnect that you need; ala FireWire, eSATA, dedicated audio out and so on. If that’s you then Zemno can help with their DeskBook Pro Notebook Docking station.
This thing is better connected than Donald Trump, with 7 USB ports (6 for external devices and 1 to connect to the notebook), 3 FireWire 800 ports (2 for external devices and 1 for the notebook), 1 FireWire 400 port, 1 DVI port, eSATA data and power connections, stereo audio in/out and a bunch of memory card slots including Compact Flash. It’s designed to fit a 15″ MacBook Pro but will work with any notebook up to 15″.
It also has a pair of ModBays, which are drawers at the front of the DeskBook for custom 500 GB hard drives and batteries that will power the DeskBook and the connected laptop for 2.5 hours. So you can take the docking station on the road with you without needing AC power. There’s also an internal charging dock for the iPhone and iPod coming soon.
The DeskBook will be priced at US$499.99, the ModBay 500GB Hard Drive US$129.99 and ModBay Battery US$99.99. If you want one you’ll have to pre-order but if you do it before December 25th, you’ll get 10% off.
