Diesel Vehicles Overtake Emissions Gain – what we drive needs more oversight to battle emissions

It’s been identified that emissions from cars are a problem. Most people know this and that’s why moving to electric is such an attractive option. But how big of a problem is staggering. Greenhouse gas emissions form diesel vehicles wiped out the gains from renewable energy.

Diesel powered vehicles are a great source of pollution and their numbers have risen over the past decade. Even with all the gains in renewable energy and the move away from coal, this can’t compete with the amount of emissions that are coming from the road.

Part of the issue is that much of the focus in reducing emissions from these vehicles goes towards large, utility vehicles and smaller, private cars are overlooked. However, these are still a problem! Stronger enforcement and regulation around their fuel efficiency is needed to make a change.
