Ding dong, Schwinn song.

The rather funky Schwinn Sting-Ray bicycle has gone all electric on us. $399.00 buys you a craft that will cruise at up to 14 mph for 2 hours at a time. And checkit, the electric motor looks just like a real motorbike block. Cute. More here.

The throttle’s LED indicator indicates battery condition, and feedback from the computer denotes real-time battery power. Another handy feature on the Schwinn Sting-Ray Electric is the removable, rechargeable battery system, which can be charged on or off the bike. This allows use of the bike without the battery. By simply removing the battery and leaving it charging at home, the bike can be ridden using good old-fashioned pedal power.
