DNA heaven

CATGee is being billed as ‘the world’s FIRST personal DNA storage & sampling kit.’ For a mere 19.95 ($29.95) you can ‘celebrate your individuality’ and – gasp! – ‘swap and share DNA with friends and lovers’.

Sounds like the start of a very weird relationship if you ask me.

A much more interesting use of DNA to my mind is the PatriClan African Ancestry site which offers to trace your African roots (assuming you have any of course!) via a DNA swab and a pretty extensive African DNA database. One for the Alex Haley lovers methinks.

Can we expect to see a general rise in the number of recreational DNA products over the coming years? Does a frog croak?
