Does the Dog Die – Trigger Warnings for Family Movie Night And Save A Child

Does the Dog Die

When I was a kid, I cried uncontrollably when animals died in movies. It got so bad my dad stopped taking me to the theater. I’m sure he wishes that he had Does the Dog Die when I was growing up (or the internet for that matter).

Does the Dog Die answers one of the most important questions that come up in movie land, “does the beloved animal companion bite the dust in this film?” That may not seem like a questions that needs to be answered in advance, but you try to console an emotional five year old after cute and fuzzy buys the farm and you’ll see the wisdom in this site. It even comes in Android app form for guidance on the go.

The site is an alphabetized list of films from children to adult, classics and new films alike, that feature three simple bits of information. No pets die, a pet is injured/appears dead but isn’t, or a pet dies. There’s also a brief explanation of what animal and what happens to the animal. If you’re about to watch a film with a pet that you think may end in a moral lesson about love and grief, check out Does the Dog Die first so you can emotionally prepare yourself.
