There’s no doubt that crowdfunding is hot hot hot, but unfortunately the success of sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo has brought with it a fair amount of dodgy people peddling projects which may not actually be as great as they seem.
Drop Kicker is a blog which focuses on evaluating the technology and feasibility of some of these projects, in a hard headed way. It’s written by engineers with experience in the field, and while some of the posts are brutally honest, it’s still a great resource if you’re interested in learning more about some of the project claims you see in those fancy videos.
