A wise old man once told me that there were only three things worth having in life. First, a good raincoat. Second, the phone number of a nearby greengrocer and finally a solid, easy to use file sharing service. Well I’m set for the first two, and now it looks as though we may be good for the last.
If Dropcanvas was a painting, it would be a minimalist watercolor. The free file sharing site is just a black bar and a drag and drop area, onto which you pull files you want to share. The system then gives you an instant share link, which you send to the shareee (is that a word?) for them to download. And that’s it, no registration or sign in needed.
The cool things about it are obviously it’s incredibly easy to use, just drag, drop and distribute link. But there are also some nice touches, like the fact that when you click the download button, the app automatically zip compresses the file to make the download as small as possible. There are also some useful editing and management functions, all without needing to register. Very cool.
Just wanted to thank you guys for covering us!
Pleasure. Nice app. Gotta support fellow Redditors too. :)
