Electronic Word Processing Typewriter – retro tech lives!

Electricwordprocessingtypewriter

This Electronic Word Processing Typewriter has restored our faith in the world. All is well, and the robots are not about to consume our babies. Yes, there is still a place for a clunky, tiny LCD screened word generator contraption. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll be alive to see the return of the typing pool. Hooray for progress. £179.95.

Far less expensive than a laptop and far easier to use, this portable machine is ideal for writing letters, journals and reports. It works just like an ordinary typewriter, but with word-processing functions – the text is stored and displayed on the clear scrolling LCD screen for editing before you go to print, so no more Tippex!

  • It's expensive, chunky and old technology. Why???

    • Because some people are freaked out by computers?

  • As to "why," the reasons in my case would (or, "will," as, I'm planning to buy something along the lines of this one) have mostly to do with my experiences with balky, unpredictable, nervewracking printing output (or lack thereof, often, or delays while my printers decided whether , this time, they would work promptly, or slowly, or in a faulty way, or not at all). ..I mean, choosing whether to stand or sit there and be subject to the whims of stubborn printers (and therefore, sort of every time, be their victim–considering the stress uncertainty brings) …VERSUS….being able to just have a different gadget, even if up front less far less versatile or magical, let me type, and even electronically correct as I go, if I'm attentive, and print it all gradually–is seeming to me right now, a very easy choice. I;m thinking that I greatly doubt I will much regret my choice…even while, I may get another computer printer as well, even though it may well also be mostly for printing things I also will be typing (but need in a different result , such as, occasionally fancier or larger font, etc).
