Engage Keyboard makes subtle adjustments to keep your wrists comfortable

If you spend a lot of time typing away on a keyboard, there’s a good chance that you worry about developing RSI. This can be caused by repetitive motion during activities like typing. So how does one make sure to combat this? Well, ideally you should be able to setup your work area so that your arms, wrists, and hands are in the perfect position to not cause discomfort. However, perfection is always difficult to obtain.

Another solution is this Engage Ergonomic Keyboard from SmartFish. The keyboard takes a different stance on ergonomics and instead of being a stationary design, the device actually moves as you use it. The ides is that if you adjust the position of your hands ever so slightly, you’re likely to stay comfortable for longer periods. Now the keyboard isn’t constantly in motion. Instead, it monitors how much typing you’ve done, and decides when it’s time to make an adjustment. See the video below for a better explanation.

If you’re in need of a better keyboard for longterm typing, this might be the one for you. At $150, it’s going to be one of the more pricey ones on the market. But can you really put a price on comfort?
