Evernote Peek turns your iPad 2 into a set of flash cards

Tablets are great for a wide variety of functions. I use my for web browsing, book reading, note taking and more. What is when a company releases software that allows you to take advantage of your tablet in a (relatively) new way. Take, for instance, Evernote Peek. This software comes from the same people that make Evernote, which is easily one of my favorite applications for keeping track of notes between a variety of devices. But Peek isn’t so much about taking notes, as using them to quiz yourself.

This app lets you turn your second-generation iPad into a set of interactive flash cards. It takes advantage of the Smart Cover by giving you a question when you lift up one flap. Lift the next, and you’ll find the answer. You can make your own notebooks with these questions and answers, or download one of the many that they make available to you through the application. Evernote Peek is completely free, so there’s no reason not to download it (as long as you have the right hardware).
