Everyscape – eye level photo realistic search engine

Everyscape

Everyscape is an ‘eye level search engine’ that lets you travel down photo rendered streets to find businesses that you’re looking for. The interesting thing about the service is the invitation to all-comers to contribute street level images, either on an ad-hoc basis or as a paid professional. So we now have a brand new occupation in the world – street mapper. It had to come of course, what with GPS satnav, 3D search and the rest. All you need is a good DSLR camera, a computer and lots of free time. Not sure how much you earn, but it could be the perfect occupation for the wanderlusters amongst us. And let’s face it, with a whole world to map, this could be a job for life (unless these people get their way).

Commercial Artists are where the rubber meets the road — literally. As a Commercial Artist, you will travel the highways, byways, avenues, alleys and side streets of locales acquiring GPS-tagged panoramic photos. With this critical work, you are creating the canvas that all other artists will work on. After 2-3 days of training in the use of the EveryScape car-mounted photography rig, image acquisition and logistical coordination, you’ll be ready to roll. Because of significant time investment, equipment requirements and expectations for quality and consistency, Commercial Artists are compensated for their efforts. And loved by all. Required equipment: EveryScape car mounted photography rig; access to a car.
