Extension FM – awesome Chrome extension automatically grabs MP3 playlists from the web

Extensionfm

Well it had to happen. The Google Chrome web browser looks like it’s just received its killer extension, the one that will drive adoption and use through the roof. ExtensionFM sits in the browser and automatically finds and grabs every MP3 file on pages you visit and drops them into an instant play library, which you can enjoy as you continue to browse.

Words don’t do this extension justice folks. Just install it and visit a few MP3 music sites and you’ll gather up a huge collection of tracks to play instantly with no hassle. The internal player is great, and the selection of tracks almost infinite. Take a trip to archive.org for instance and you’ll find a *humungous* selection of live tracks to rock along to. Incredible stuff! [Via]

ExtensionFM is a browser extension for Chrome that turns the entire web into your personal music library. As you browse, ExtensionFM runs in the background indexing every MP3 file you come across, building a music library for you. ExtensionFM will continue to check the sites you’ve visited, adding new music for you to listen to every day.

  • hey Nigel, can you tell me any sites it actually works with to get mainstream music?

    Cheers, Eric.
