Fast Fashion Is Waste – why the fashion industry is in for a reckoning

Fast fashion is really common and also a huge problem. Not because the clothes are tacky or anything but because they are contributing to massive amounts of waste which considering their often very short shelf life, is unacceptable.

People need clothes and they can only buy the clothes they can afford so although it would be great if everyone could switch to high quality sustainable clothing options, that just isn’t a reality. Instead, the real pressure should be on the fashion industry to make changes in materials and production.

Some brands are already working on ways to make their beloved industry more sustainable, while, of course, still remaining aesthetically pleasing. This is through the reuse of materials and rebranding to help people value the things they have more. Check out the article for more information and some stunning fashion photos.
