For those of you that know how to handle a skateboard, and want to try something with a motor, the Fiik might be something to look into. Whether you just want to get from point A to point B, or need to carry something without having to push off the ground every three seconds, this is going to get you where you need to be at a considerable speed.
Making use of some “off-road” tires and a remote control, you can get in a good 19 miles of ride time in a day. I have no idea what its top speed is, but from the looks of the video you can get going pretty fast. A big factor is making sure you know what you’re doing. With a bicycle or scooter, you have handlebars, but on this guy, you better hope your balance rocks, and you can pay attention to what’s ahead of you. This is a pretty expensive people mover at $1,600 a pop, but if you are really interested in skateboarding, I recommend the regular run of the mill kind. If you have the cash to blow on it, then go right ahead because it looks pretty fun.
