So there’s this sort of huge geek event happening this weekend. Maybe you’ve heard something about it? Just a little film coming out. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens? It’s like no big deal but in case you’re worried about spoilers, check out Force Block on Chrome, the add-on that blocks Star Wars spoilers.
It seems an oddly specific blocker, but let’s keep in mind that some people have been waiting 30 years to for this moment and if they weren’t lucky enough to be able to grab opening night tickets, they probably don’t want that experience ruined. This add-on will block any page that it suspects of having a Star Wars spoiler on it.
It’s not a perfect add-on, it’s very likely to make some mistakes. It’s also very likely to just block your newsfeed unless your friends are the considerate type. It lets you choose if you wish to view a webpage or not so if you know that it’s not REALLY a spoiler click away. In a few weeks you probably won’t need this add-on but until then, better safe than sorry.
