Free Music Zilla is a neat new free music download tool which lets you grab tracks to your hard disk from social music sites like Pandora, Last.fm, Imeem and MySpace. Suddenly music sharing becomes all trendy wendy again. Download and install the software, then fire it up, surf to the music site of your choice and the program will automagically download the tracks you listen to (max of 10 tracks a day for this free version). The file saves in a Flash .flv format, with a weird code filename, so you’ll have to change that to know what the track is, but apart from that it works brilliantly as advertised.
Irony of ironies, a few days ago I received a press release from the Clickster camp – a similar cool product we featured a while back – complaining about a ‘cease & desist’ they’ve received from News International lawyers who say they’re ‘hacking and causing harm to MySpace’. *Sigh*
