Lots of wibble around at the moment about the new WiFi ‘voice over IP’ phone from Free World Dialup. A wireless mobile phone that you can use to make ‘free’ calls to a FWD subscriber, although not to a standard telephone as yet.

VoiP technology is still in nappies, WiFi even more so. And I still think that anything that constrains my coverage as WiFi does, is not going to be here for the long term. Still and all, an interesting idea.
