FUTURECRAFT.LOOP – the shoe with a life cycle

Recycling and reusing things are two of the big ways we can help the environment. There are things that we generally just use until they have to be tossed though. Like sneakers. Wear them until they’re falling apart, right? Well Adidas wants to make a change with that with the FUTURECRAFT.LOOP, the fully recyclable sneaker.

The first step of this sneaker is taking plastic waste from the environment (like the ocean) and turning it into footwear. That solves one issue, for awhile. After all, sneakers don’t last forever and they’re eventually going to end up right back where they started, right?

Nope! After that it goes back to the company where they break it down and they use the material to make new shoes. The shoes will be available in 2021.
