Get Deliveries Local – cut down on emissions

Having items delivered is so nice. It saves you time and stress of going to a store and who doesn’t like getting packages at home? But online deliveries cause a lot of CO2 emissions. Good news though, if you get delivery from local shops, the amount of emissions goes down.

Local deliveries tend to be greener. One of the biggest differences is that people tend to buy multiple items locally while they may order one or two from larger online centers. Having many things delivered at once helps to cut down waste by quite a lot.

Shopping local is one of the ways we can all help lower emissions and although you can’t get everything delivered locally, spending some time looking into who does deliver in your local area can help you find new ways to lower your carbon footprint.
