Google Image Ripper lets you download images without visiting the sites they came from

When I need to find an image, the first place I go is Google Images. One quick search will bring millions of images to my screen. There are plenty of advanced search options that will help narrow down the selection, which makes it perfect for my needs. The only issue I have is when I click on a thumbnail, only to be taken to a page which no longer hosts the image, or worse, contains questionable material. Thankfully there is a way to get the best of Google Images without having to deal directly with the websites that host the pictures.

Google Image Ripper is a simple search page that (as the name implies) pulls the results directly from Google Images. The difference is that when you want to see the larger image, you don’t actually have to visit the website it came from at all. It will instantly show you the full-size. Of course, there is still the option to visit the website, if you really want to. The only downside is that you lose a lot of the more robust search options that Google provides.

  • Ah! So YOU are the guy who's been building websites with my copywritten pictures! There's a copyright notice on the page, but you never see that.
