Grand Central – one number, many phones

Grandcentral

Grand Central is a ‘one number to many phones’ service which is really just an update on the old unified messaging stuff. Remember that? You signed up for one telephone number which accepted voice calls, fax, emails etc etc and let you pick them all up any way you wanted? Sounded great until you realised that your friends and business associates would have to pay a premium rate to call you, at which point it all fell a bit flat. Anyhoo, this bunch has a nice looking website and – gasp – David Pogue of the New York Times doing a sales video for them. Huh?

GrandCentral doesn’t replace your phones; we just link them together and help them do more. How do we do that? We give people One Number…for Life – a number that’s not tied to a phone or a location – but tied to you. With GrandCentral, you can be reached with a single number, answer a call at any phone you want, seamlessly switch phones in the middle of a call, and even know whether a call is important before you take it.
