Hemingwrite – distraction free writing in a distraction filled world

Hemingwrite in use

You know why you haven’t written that novel yet? Distraction. It’s our fault. Of course Ernest Hemingway banged out the classics, typewriters don’t come with Wi-Fi. They do come with ink cartridges and jamming keys though. The Hemingwrite gives you the feel of distraction free writing with none of the hassle.

The Hemingwrite is a typewriter, taken to the next level. It was made to focus solely on writing. Not research, not Solitaire, just writing. It is essentially just a keyboard and a screen. What makes it different from your traditional electric typewriters is that, one, no jamming keys and two, no paper. The screen is an E-ink display, like a Kindle, and the words are backed up in the cloud.

Hemingwrite Alone

Which means after you’ve returned from your retreat into the woods (or the park, local coffee house, your couch, wherever) you’ll be able to access your brilliant missives for editing and self-loathing. It is extremely mobile and designed to go wherever inspiration takes you. The Hemingwrite is priced at $399 and available for pre-order. It will ship in the Fall.
