Hide private folders with Disguise Folders

Have you ever had a particular set of files that you didn’t want anyone stumbling across on your computer? Whatever your reasons, there are a number of ways to hide a folder away from prying eyes. One of the easiest is a piece of freeware called Disguise Folders.

This program is a really simple way to hide a folder on your PC. Normally something this boring wouldn’t turn my head, but I have to say that Disguise Folders is quite crafty. It changes the icon of the folder into your choice of system folders or functions. It’s not just a cosmetic change, either. If you change the icon to Windows Update, double-clicking on it will actually open Windows Update. Just change the icon back, and you’ll be able to access the folder without issue.
