The i-gotU GT-120 is a GPS logger for busy travellers who don’t have GPS-tagging cameras or phones but want to know where they’ve been. Simply leave the logger switched on and stash it somewhere about your person and it will record where you’ve been and when you were there. Just make sure your camera has the right time set. When you get home, plug it into a USB slot, fire up the included software and slurp all your GPS data from the logger, add your photographs and your whole trip can be displayed in 3D or on Google Maps/Earth, Flickr or whatever social networking site you’re using this week. The unit is water resistant, uses the fabbo SiRF Star III chipset and can also be used as a Bluetooth GPS receiver with a mobile phone or PDA. It should last up to 30 hours logging your position every 15 seconds (which sounds kinda frequent to me) and works from -10C to +50C. Needs a PC though, sorry Mac’s.
I-gotU is a GPS Logger and Receiver 2-in-1 device including user-friendly Travel Blog Software. i-gotU records trip routes, Auto-adds photo GPS locations, creates an animated trip journal that brings back live trip memory by plotting the route and playing back the photos / YouTube videos with the exact location on 3D maps.
