IKEA Solvinden Solar Lamp

IKEA has a special place in all of our hearts as the best mega-furniture retailers with the most impressive business model ever. These people know what theyre doing and because of that, they are greatly envied. When they turned out the Solvinden Solar Lamp, everyone was probably thinking that this must be more of their genius at work. Sad to say, this lamp is only efficient if you live in an area that is sunny every day.

This lamp lives off of two AA batteries and a solar charger that takes nine hours to get up to a good four-hour charge. If youre stuck in an overcast area, you had better hope to get 12 hours of decent charge time. It does still have its main function as a lamp, but this drawback can be a turnoff for some people. On the bright side, it is only $20, so it isn’t exactly a big investment.
