Impossible Spectra First Edition Camera – Photograph the present with the past

Impossible Spectra First Edition Camera

Way back in the old days, when our parents had to walk uphill both ways when going to and from school… in the snow, photography seemed like magic, requiring knowledge of shutter speeds and apertures and other types of nonsense. Then, something wonderful happened, and that wonderful moment has been recaptured.

If you grew up with a smartphone in your hand, the idea of waiting to see the pictures you just took is probably as foreign as black-and-white television shows, but there was a time when the idea of having a camera spit a photo out within seconds of pressing the button was a reason to celebrate, and not needing to know anything about how a camera worked was a bonus, which is what makes the Impossible Spectra First Edition Camera so awesome.

Times have changed and film cameras are practically extinct, with many production plants being closed down years ago. However, the Impossible Project, launched in 2008, bought the world’s last Polaroid production plant and began producing new film products because there were still plenty of film cameras running loose in the wild, slyly evading the digital revolution.

Now, ironically, there’s plenty of film but those old cameras are a dying breed, which is why you’re now able to get your hands on a classic, refurbished Polaroid camera.

You can’t be too picky because your order will be randomly selected so you won’t know if you’ll get a Spectra System, Spectra SE, Spectra AF, Spectra QPS, Spectra 1st Edition, or a 1200 Si Polaroid camera, but you will get one of those retro goodies, which boasts ‘revolutionary’ features like built-in flash, a focus-free lens, and a self-timer. Don’t laugh. This was cutting-edge stuff back then.

Take your photography back to the days that existed before Instagram, selfies, and Flickr for $149.99.
