Inflatable Roof Rack – perfect for those ‘oops’ IKEA moments

Inflatableroofrack

This Inflatable Roof Rack is clever enough to keep locked in the trunk for those times when you suddenly find yourself buying a full sized wardrobe from IKEA when all you went in for were some candles. Yeah, been there, done that, got the T. Anyhoo, they will support up to 150 lbs in weight and inflate using an included electric air compressor which fits into the cigar lighter socket. It’s a nice idea all right, priced at $149.95.

If you want a cheaper option, try this Handirack alternative which retails for $89.95/£49.49 but you’ll have to blow them up yourself, so good luck.

Double straps at all four ends ensure stability when tucked into the top of the front and back windows; sturdy ABS buckles cinch the straps taut in the car’s interior. Five metal D-rings stitched into each rack support’s covers secure tie-downs (not included). Once installed, the rack provides 30 1/2″ of width for roof-borne items up to 150 lbs. The rack inflates using the included 12-volt electric pump that plugs into your car’s DC adapter.
