JPX Pepper Gun – the scariest condiment dispenser this side of a New Jersey Dennys

When it comes to inventing new ways to protect yourself and incapacitate others, there are few people able to do it as efficiently as the Swiss. But what do you expect from a country that invented yodeling and cuckoo clocks? Take this innocent looking ‘less than lethal’ JPX Pepper Gun for instance. We would assume that 9 times out of 10 you’ll never have to pull the trigger, just wave it around a bit. And if you do use it, the severely moistened eyeballs should be enough to get you out of trouble.

The device fires twin OC (oleoresin capsicum) spray shots from a cartridge, which severely irritates the eyes, and temporarily blinds the person who gets the dose. This should give enough time to run away or at least hide in the nearest tree until said person or animal has left the vicinity.

The consumer pepper magazines come in a variety of different flavors, including Soft Palate Jalopeno and Blueberry Surprise, and will spray the pepper mix up to 20 feet at over 400 mph. If that doesn’t do the trick, you’ll probably need to back it up with some gentle conversation on art and culture. The pepper gun also comes with a built in laser sight to make sure you don’t miss the hit. Priced at $350, handkerchiefs and tissues not included.
