The idea is to combat waste. The grounds aren’t really the issue, as said before, they can easily be composted. The issue is the cups. Disposable coffee cups end up in landfills where they sit for years. These cups are biodegradable when they’re ready to meet their end.

The cups are made from grounds, wood, and natural resins. It takes a few cups of grounds per a single cup and the company works with local shops to source their grounds.
