Kodak Ektra – the camera that happens to have a smartphone attached

Smartphones are the most used cameras in the world. Probably, I haven’t done any official research but considering the huge amounts of people who own phones with cameras in them, it’s a totally safe bet. So given that information, why not just make a phone with the best camera possible? Enter the Kodak Ektra, the photography first smartphone.

This is a phone, it does all the things that phones do but it was built to be a killer camera. Usually, when we talk about the photo taking abilities of our phones, it’s more of an afterthought than anything. That’s not the case with this gadget. This has a 21-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel front facing camera, for better selfies.

This thing supports a ton of features and settings, like those found on full a DSLR for even better photography sessions. As you adjust your settings, your can see the effects in real time, on the screen. It also has a shutter button like a traditional camera. It runs on Android and will be available in Europe later this year. The Kodak Ektra is £449.
