Are you one of those people that compulsively taps out a beat on just about any solid surface you’re around? I tend to do that quite a bit, likely because I used to play percussion back in school. Well, if you want to turn those taps into something worth listening to, Korg has a new device that might pique your interest.
The Wavedrum Mini might look like an ordinary drum pad at first glance. Indeed, it does function like most other such pads. Pick out a sound, and you’ll be able to produce it just by tapping your fingers on the pad. However, it also comes with a cool little sensor clip that you can attach to most surfaces. It will pick up the vibrations and turns them into sounds that it projects through its speakers. Its small size makes it perfect for those impromptu jam sessions that tend to happen. Look for it in Q3 of this year.
