In 2017 a lot of social interaction happens on social media but Facebook and Twitter aren’t exactly what we would call “kid friendly”. Which is probably why LEGO went ahead and made LEGO Life, the social media site for kids.
This is actually an app that lets kids interact with other kids and share joy of working with LEGOs. They can design and build together, join challenges or just watch videos about their favorite LEGO brands. It’s pretty much a LEGO lover’s dream.
What makes this really interesting is that they’ve created an app space that is totally positive. Unlike other child friendly sites that give users a few preselected phrases to use for communication, this one uses a system of only positive, LEGO themed emojis that users can string together to form sentences. Pretty neat system that controls communication without it feeling so restricted. This site is made for children so adults will probably find it pretty limiting and boring but if you’re looking for a safe space for your little one to get their social media toes wet, LEGO Life is free for Apple and Android devices.
