Less Plastic with Amazon – check out these tips to make Amazon orders greener

You probably think you have no control over the waste that is generated by ordering packages and having things delivered. The only answer is to stop, right? Well, as it turns out, there’s a lot you can do if you’re ordering from Amazon! Here’s a link with some great tips on lowering your plastic waste.

One way is to order in groups for delivery so that it comes with less packaging and traveling needed or take advantage of Amazon Day where all your orders are delivered on the same day of the week. There’s a viral image traveling around that suggests you ask customer service to use less packaging and they do have a service for hassle free packaging, which uses less.

These are all good tips which combined with reusing and recycling can really help make a dent in the carbon footprint of the convenience that services like Amazon provides. Many of these tips can be applied to other delivery programs as well. Happy shopping!
