LetterForms Dry Erase Notebook – the cool paperless notebook you can use again and again

letterformsdryerasenotebook2

The LetterForms Dry Erase Notebook is yet another of those, ‘why did it take so long‘ inventions which make so much sense when you really think about it. Almost everyone has used a paper notebook at some point or another, and filed it away once filled up, wasting yet more space in a drawer or on a shelf. But why should we not be able to reuse old notebooks over and over? Much more eco friendly. Trees will dance.

This is exactly what the LetterForms products do. The inventors have managed to put together a notebook with a set of 18 blank and 2 dotted grid style sheets of thin whiteboard plastic inside. When combined with a free Staedtler Correctable, which is a dry erase marker pen, you have an instantly re-usable notebook which should last for years.

The trick is in sourcing exactly the right type of plastic sheet, and this problem seems to have been overcome, judging by the test videos which show how smudge proof and robust the notebooks are under general use. The project started out as a crowdfunded effort, and true to type it’s running around 6 months late on delivery, but they are taking orders for the LetterForms Classic notebook for $19.99 each. Really nice idea, hope it takes off big time.
