Lightpack in use

Whenever you’re looking at a screen, that’s sort of the “main event” but why not expand the screen to its surroundings? With Lightpack, you can add a cool backlit effect to your TV or computer monitor.

This is content controlled lighting system that works with both PCs and Macs to create a halo of light around your screen that matches what you are seeing on your screen. It consists of just a few LED lights and once connected will change color, right with whatever it is you’re watching.

Besides looking cool, the added light will supposedly help lessen the strain on your eyes as your programs and movies switch between light and dark which means you can watch more TV and play more games with less strain on your precious viewing orbs. Really, it’s a win/win. There are two sets that can fit TVs and monitors up to 86 inches. They don’t require additional drivers and have plug and play functionality. Lightpack starts at $79.
