MagicPrefs gives you more control over your multitouch trackpad

One of the things I love about my MacBook is the multitouch trackpad. I can do a number of things just by swiping with a set number of fingers in a specific manner. While I can pretty much accomplish anything I want in this manner, Apple doesn’t quite give you full control over the gestures and what each of them is set to do. Thankfully there is software out there that can do this for you.

MagicPrefs does more than just let you assign actions to pre-existing gestures defined by Apple. You can actually make up entirely new ones. All five fingers can be included for swiping, tapping and clicking to perform various tasks that you assign. You can even make presets, that way if you’re working with specific programs, you can map a whole set of commands, only to change them with a few clicks when you’re working on someone else. The best part? It’s completely free to download.
