Making Changes For The Climate Is Cheaper – than not

One of the issues that is often brought up in the climate crisis discussion is the cost associated with making changes to more climate friendly technologies and practices. It’s just too much money! But as it turns out, a new study has revealed by not making these changes, the economy will lose money. Like a lot of it.

The study concluded that the global economy could lose between $150-792 trillion by the end of the century which isn’t really as far as it seems. On the flip side, that money is saved if climate neutral practices and technologies are adopted around the world.

This figure was calculated by looking at the amount spent on “self preservation strategies” over a period of time. So the next time some one complains about the cost of climate change technologies, tell them that we literally can’t afford not to make changes.
