Micro GPS Mail Logger – track where you mail has been and watch it speed from point to point

Micro GPS Mail Logger. Do you really want to make your postman your friend? Then stick one of these GPS tracking units into an envelope and track exactly where it goes once it leaves your hands. A quarter of an inch thick and compatible with Google Earth, this puppy will let you watch your mailman’s journey around your neighbourhood with fascination and not a little fear. Enjoyeristic, eh? $695.95. [Thanks Greg]

The GPS Mail Logger records the global position of your mail throughout the delivery process. Once you receive your mail, plug in the GPS Mail Logger’s MicroSD card and find out where your mail has been in seconds. With time stamps and recorded downtime you can find out where your mail has been and if it was delayed or misrouted. With GPS you get your mail’s exact satellite location, how fast it was traveling, and even its altitude throughout the delivery process. With this data, the GPS Mail Logger can help you evaluate your delivery company’s effectiveness.

  • IF it is anything like my GPS I can’t see how it would ever pick up a satellite signal when burid in a sack in a postbox
/ truck/ plane/ train or building. So youd probably only get the first and last 100 yds when Posty is on foot !

  • And at that price it would probably be cheaper to post a junior colleague with a note book along with the original package!

  • Richy: :-) Or follow the postie yourself with a pair of binoculars and a compass?

  • I bet delivery companies would love to hear your feedback based on this device.
