This ABC News article reports that cash machine maker NCR is working on technology that will let your humble ATM read the user’s emotions. Apparently the new machines will be able to tell whether you’re fed up with life after discovering that you’re overdrawn and will be able to deliver soothing or humorous material to cheer you up.

Yeah right.
