Remember those pencils that you popped the lead out of and then put the empty plastic bit in the bottom to push up a fresh point? Now a company called Mininch has made a screwdriver with the same kind of concept, but with a lot more style. The Mininch Tool Pen is a pop a point screwdriver that looks like a pen, but contains a set of useful screwdriver bits for those little jobs you have to do now and then.
Multi headed screwdrivers aren’t something new of course, but they’re usually bulky things or come in cases and big sets. This innovative new tool is notable for its thin attractive design, since the size and form makes it much easier to carry around without ruining your pocket.
The product is made out of solid aluminum and holds six bits, although there are 13 bits to choose from, so you can design your pen to hold whatever you would find most useful. It also comes in three colors, champagne gold, gunmetal, and snow silver so you can also be as fashionable as you want.
This little tool is great for people who ride bikes or are a bit of a handyman. Since the tool is so light and compact, you could throw it in a bag or pocket and be ready to go without a second thought. The Tool Pen is up for preorder though Kickstarter right now but it’s way past funded. Sets start at $45.
