We’re not entirely sure how this works, but there’s apparently a need for mobile car garages out there in this crazy wide world. The concept of needing to protect a hunk of rusting metal against the elements is probably very logical if you’re a piston-head, but we’re wondering what purpose it will serve to those of us with more modest ambitions? As far as we’re concerned, this Mobile Car Garage ranks alongside quilted radiator shields as one of those products which the world probably wouldn’t miss at all. But hey ho, what do we know? This particular product features a very compact form factor, tough 600 D ‘Oxford’ fabric, with UV protection and lots of steel tubes.
The whole thing comes in a package rather like a large tent, and the product is available in two sizes (no doubt for your limousine and your teeny car thing). You can also order in custom sizes. Flippant comments aside, it could be useful for folks wanting to protect against snow, water and dust, who don’t have access to a proper brick built garage, although we’re not told what the price is.
When I was a kid in London, our neighbour had one of these, over fifty years ago
But I bet it didn’t have the space age material and super light alloy metal framework? Did you check? Did you ask, and take notes? Tsk.
It had an old rope attached to the front and he would stand in front of his car and pull it over. It was canvas, which was pretty space age in 1960.
Handkerchiefs don’t count. :)
