Motion Sensing Light Adapter – give your room some Star Trek tech and save energy too

O.K., so we may not have our flying cars yet – where are they anyway? – but at least we’re starting to see some other examples of sci-fi tech reach our homes and gardens. And no, we’re not talking about that solar powered garden gnome you bought for your short sighted Peruvian aunt.

No, we’re looking at you Mr Motion Sensing Light Adapter, with your fancy electronics and clever magic tricks. Take out your light bulb, screw in the adapter, replace the bulb and all of a sudden you don’t have to turn on light switches any more. Just walk in the room and the motion sensor detects you’re there, and quicker than you can say ‘he’s dead, Jim’, the light will turn on by itself. It’s a miracle.

The adapter can be custom tailored with your choice of settings, from 5 to 100 seconds duration, and the device will detect motion in a 360 degree arc for up to 5 meters. It uses a typical PIR (passive infra-red) sensor and will handle bulbs up to 60W (20W eco). It’s not only a great way to scare visitors who visit your home, but also save energy since it keeps the lights off when you’re out of the room. On offer at the special price of $19.99 (bulb not included).
