Talking of MovieLens, as I was yesterday, I have now stumbled across their new MovieLens Unplugged service, which is totally brill. It’s basically MovieLens delivered to your Palm or PocketPC PDA via AvantGo!

This means that instead of wandering around Blockbusters in a daze trying desperately to remember which film it was you really really wanted to see a couple of months back, you can carry around your personal wishlist of titles, as well as a selection of movies that MovieLens thinks you would like based on your previous movie ratings. What’s more, every time you sync the PDA, the list gets updated.

This is very cool stuff, and just what the Web was meant for in my estimation, and it’s free.
