Look around and you’ll notice there’s no shortage of online streaming music services. In fact you could say there’s a bit of a glut, what with all these Last.fm, exfm, Grooveshark chaps and the rest hanging out trying to attract our attention. Each one offers something slightly different feature-wise, which makes it hard to pick out one service which is the definitive go-to place to beat the rest (although if we had to choose we’d still stick with the mighty Spotify).
Now however there’s a way to have your audio cake and eat it, with the new Music Smasher service which is an online search engine for the major music streaming services, all on one page. It’s awesomely easy to use, just pop over and enter in any search term, track name, band or whatever, and the engine will deliver results from each of the six featured services – including Spotify, Rdio and Soundcloud – all on the one page.
There’s strictly no downloads, and you’ll end up visiting the source site or application if you click on a track, but even so it’s a great way to access a goodly selection of tracks in one hit. One for the bookmarks!
