My Mini City – Sim City meets a cute web traffic generator game

Myminicity

My Mini City is a new online game that automatically builds a Sim City type environment for you out of user visits. You start things off by creating a city on a virtual planet map, and then hand out the location link to your friends and family – that means you in this case peeps – and once they start visiting the site your city grows (one action, per person, per day is counted). Oh and different links give your city different assets (like /ind increases industry, /env improves the environment and so on) so you get to choose how to build your city up to keep the inhabitants happy.

It’s completely bonkers and totally pointless, but I love the craziness for some reason. And you can track the progress of your city by subscribing to an RSS feed. Brilliant! Right now our little City of Red Ferret in Mauritania has a paltry one inhabitant and just €150 in the bank. I expect you to improve matters significantly and make this an uber metropolis as fast as you can. Thank you for listening. [Via Metafilter]
