Nanoleaf Aurora – puzzle piece smart lighting for all your design needs

Your IKEA furniture is plain but add some cool lighting and suddenly that dresser with the name you can’t pronounce becomes the background to a futuristic cyber story. Lighting is so important for setting the mood of a design and the Nanoleaf Aurora is the perfect modular lighting for the future.

This is smart modular lighting that not only lets you control the color display but also how it looks on the wall. The panels are interlocking and can be built upon for a variety of custom shapes. You design it and control it which means your lighting can double as an art piece. Which is always nice.

You can control the colors and the rate of change through a smartphone app. There’s even connectivity with Siri so that you can control it through voice commands. If all this fancy smartphone business isn’t your scene, you can also use the built-in controller, the low tech way if you will. The starter kit comes with 9 panels to play with and is $159.99.
