If you’ve never heard of Evernote, you should take a look at their site. It’s a handy service that allows you to sync notes and pictures across a variety of devices. Personally, I have an ongoing project that involves a few people, and we use Evernote on our phones, computers and even my tablet to keep all of our information synced. There are two ways to access the notes: Either you download the standalone software, or you use their web app. Obviously the former is much easier.
Unfortunately if you’re on Linux, you’ve been out of luck with the standalone application. While the company still hasn’t released their software on the open-source platform, there is now an unofficial app out there. NeverNote appears to be a good Evernote application that brings most of the functionality of its other desktop brethren. Naturally, the software is free to use.
