Air pollution is a big issue in today’s world and it’s greatly agreed upon that we need much less of it. Scientists have found a new way to fight the issue with better filters designed with the help of machine learning.
The new method is a mix of machine learning and synthetic chemistry with the goal being to create gas-separation membranes better and faster than before. Early tests using this method have been promising and have already produced some results.
The process produced membranes, where are commonly used to filter gases, that were better than the current offerings. The process was simple and could easily be adapted for commercial use. This is good news and if expanded can become a huge help in fighting pollution around the world.
