Noke U-Lock – keep your bike safe with your smartphone

Noke U-Lock in use

If you want to keep your bike, you have to lock your bike up. Locking it up doesn’t mean it will never get stolen but not locking it up will ensure that it will be stolen. Skip adding another key to you keyring though with the Noke U-Lock, the bike lock that works with your smartphone.

Instead of using a key, the U-Lock locks and unlocks with an app on your smartphone. In order for the lock to open, you have to enter your code and be near your bike. It’s super noticiable so thieves will be aware that you’ve got some protection. It’s also made from steel so if they try to saw through it, well, chances are they don’t want your bike THAT much.

The battery life on the lock can go for years without needing a charge. You can also share your bike and the lock with others. The app even lets you put a schedule on when people can access your bike. In case you let your phone lose all its juice while you’re out and about, then there’s a quick access on the lock for you. The Noke U-Lock is $109.99 and ships in March.
