A house fire can shatter your entire world in a matter of minutes. That’s why we’re so big having smoke detectors on every floor of your house. Notafire is a new smart smoke detector that will hopefully be able to learn the difference between a life-threatening blaze and your failures on the stovetop.
This is a slim, wi-fi connected alarm system. The profile of this system is almost hidden in the ceiling for aesthetic reasons. It also connects with other alarms in the home so that if a fire starts in the basement, the alarm on the second floor will sound right away giving you more time to get out of the house.
It is uses five sensors and can detect smoldering fires or fast burning ones. It can send notifications to your smartphone or tablet along with pictures from the camera so you can see exactly what is burning, even if you’re not home. So, you can easily tell it to pipe down if it’s just some overzealous fried food creation. The Notafire is still under development.
